ALWAYS TIME FOR TEA

Thanks for coming by today.

I wish you could drop in for coffee or tea,
but since you can't let me tell you what
I have been up to.

I have been under the weather this
weekend and finally feeling better.

Today I spent time with Picasa, downloading
and organizing photos.  Since I can't get a
new camera anytime soon I need
to learn to improve on what I have.

That darn light issue is always
a problem for me and everythings seems out of focus.  Oh, Well

Rooting Curly Willow 101

These few photos are a test to my patience.

I love Curly Willow especially in fresh arrangements.
Even by itself it has a good look. I'm experimenting in rooting some.

It roots so easily, just keep it in fresh water for a couple of weeks and surprise, surprise - Roots.

So far I have two batches growing in containers.

Maybe by next year I won't have to buy any.

Oh, by the way did you notice the little watermark?
Like I said I am new at this and no I didn't realize it was going to be on all of the photos.

Good Night John Boy!

I would love to know how to put a watermark on photos. Is it easy?

  5. I didn't know you can grow curly willow just by putting branches in water or a pot. I have a ton of curly willow branches, maybe I will give it a try!! Thanks Kathy!

  8. Found you from Cozy Little House. I am a fellow Alabamian just a little north from you. I love curly willow too and I just found out how fast it grows into a tree. In one year my sisters neighbor has a huge fat six foot bush now but it will soon be called a tree. They planted three stems!! Just three. I will try to make a picture for you soon and email it to you. I also recently saw one at a nursery that they said was four years old and it is a large tree. I have some rooted myself and am deciding where I can put it. Both of the trees I mentioned are in FULL SUN.

  9. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I love curly willow, too, and have mine rooting in water. I want to plant them in the yard, buy my husband thinks the root system will be intrusive and grow around our sprinkler pipes.
