The Rainy Days of Summer

Hello Friends,
Summers in full swing here in the deep south, heat, heat and more heat.
But we can be thankful for rain, and lots of it.

Wish I could send some to those of you suffering.

I haven't posted in a few weeks mostly because nothing was there...
I do mean nothing.  Do you ever just not think of anything worth
posting?  I've been busy just not taking the time to blog.
This afternoon I played with a few new vignettes and
there it was, finally an idea.
What the heck I well bore you with my bargain and poor photos.

Recently out visiting thrift stores, I purchased this white pedestal dish for $1.00.

Good deal, the only problem was it came in a few pieces.  After
opening a brand new tube of E 6,000 and doing the do its almost as good as new.
Why is it the super duper glue comes in this stupid tube and
it will be dried out the next time I need it.
Why can't they come up with a better container.
Oh yeah back to the cloche,

What I loved was this cloche fit perfectly into the dish.

Cloches are always an easy way to change things around.
It's tucked in the dry sink in the dining room.

I played with this old farm table setting,

Today is the feast day of the Assumption of the Blessed Mother
I think this is very appropriate.

The one Santos hand is holding
the smallest of my Sacred Hearts.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend,
Blessings, Kathy

  5. I know what you mean about sometimes not having anything to post. I'm there quite often. However, I really like the one you made with religious objects and the cloche. So pretty and with special meaning. The little Santos hand with the heart is especially nice.
    Have a great week,

  7. I can relate when you say should I post just to post, or wait until I have something "there". I struggle with this myself, it seems lately I find my creativity lacking - and taking a long time to come back! I have to tell ya I love cloches - I have several and love creating vignettes around them. Very lovely vignettes! Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration with Sunday’s Best – you helped make the party a success!
