I'm Late, I'm Late For A Very Important Date

A Mad Tea Party and you're invited.
Take a Peak and You Shall See.
Come on in.

All our friends will be there,
look the White Rabbit and the March Hare
along with Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Doormouse too and of course as always the Mad Hatter.

Pull up a chair and listen very closely....you will hear the wildest tales .....they will tell......remember they are all mad.

The White Rabbit is a sterling silver pin designed by              Jewelry Artist, Kit Carson.
About 15 years ago Kit shared our love for Alice and all the characters.  His line was wonderful and was extensive but his taste is more for the Southwest now.  TweedleDee and TweedleDum is also a pin.

Won't you join me in a sip of tea and a sweet treat?

Alice asked the grinning cat, in what direction do I go.?
In that direction, the Cat said, waving his right paw,
 "lives a Hatter,
and in that direction,
 waving the other paw,
lives a March Hare.
They're both Mad.

Thank you for stopping by, I want to thank A Fanciful Twist for
hosting the Mad Tea Party.

But it is time to leave for I have so many more parties to visit     and  I am late.
Check out my Pinterest Alice Board

Now what way shall I go......where is that rabbit hole I fell into, says Alice.  Oh My!

IT'S CLOCHE TIME! OH MY!

Good Morning Friends,

I was so excited this morning when I received an email from Patty, she is joining Marty to host a Cloche Party....
http://ivyandelephants.blogspot.com/2012/07/whats-it-wednesday-35.htmlhttp:
//www.astrollthrulife.net/2012/07/summer-cloche-party.html
They had me on the word Cloche.
Cloches are always featured in my decorating no matter which room they just seem to fit in.  It is like playing house, always rearranging the displays. (Reading this back makes me ponder the idea that maybe just maybe I have to much time on my hands?

The largest cloche has been on my table for a few weeks,
it's host to a wonderful french statue of Our Lady,
The Blessed Mother.

By Her is a piece of art, by Prayers on the Side,
prayer beads and pottery cross, super size for big intentions.

This cloche is the smallest one of all.
In it is a tiny statue of St. Anthony holding
the Baby Jesus with an antique baby rosary.
In the back ground is a tiny chapel, another piece of
art from the girls at "Prayers on the Side".
We carry their work at The Visitation Gift Shop where
I hang my hat a couple of days a week. As you can guess
I work for stuff.

The far left cloche is home to an antique
crucifix and antique hand door knockers
"Knock, Knock, Knocking on Heaven's Door"

The remaining cloches are used in a
Mad Tea Party, for this weekend, hosted by
The Fanciful Twist.

I have a sleeping problem.....it's called pinterest.                            Do you find yourself lost in the images?

Enjoy the day,
Good Blessings Your Way,  Kathy

NICE SURPRISES

Hello Friends,  A few weeks ago a couple of friends and I put on our old cloths
packed some tastie treats and off we went
to the studio of Bill Harrison @ The Garage.
 in Point Clear.
We had a blast.  It was just a day of laughing, painting and meeting new friends.
It was one of those days that it really didn't matter what we painted.

This is my painting, I have named it Home Sweet Home.

I'm normally a frustrated artist.....nothing is ever right.
I have never had a natural talent in drawing or painting.  You know the kind of person who can sit down and sketch away and you actually know
what it is.  Well that is not me.
I think that is why I am so drawn to mixed medium and altered art.

This is a photo of Bill's nest in his studio along with mine.

Home Sweet Home is now at home
on my glass porch and it fits in just fine.
That's a nice surprise.

I am going to join in the fun with friends at the parties below,
Take care, STAY COOL and have a wonderful day,  Kathy

Where Bloggers Create

Where Bloggers Create,
I have had a few peaks at some wonderful
studios, I can't wait to check everyone out.  Karen is so great to host the 4th bloggers party in our studios.

My studio/craft room is small, well of course
it is I live in a tiny cottage.
But every inch is packed full of my
treasures and supplies in case I
get in the gluing, sewing, painting,
assembling and glittering mood.

I added a mantel which I usually use
just to play with some of my newest
pieces of scrapes, metal, broken
and useless odds and ends.

These sweet fabric dolls were painted
in the 80's by my dear friend Theresa.

The altar scarf is over 100's years old,
it came from a very old rural
primitive Black church.
Made by hand but most likely not ever used since there is a spelling error.
"There is Sweet Rest in Heaven"

This wonderful old blue stepback
is packed with this and that.

On top of the stepback is my antique
glider horse with bears
and cuddly ones.

This corner is packed full
of even more great supplies, I love my
antique furniture and with such little space
I use everything I can for storage.

I love old books and have
a serious issue with wonderful pictures,
art, text....darn it, just paper in general.
Old, new, copies or originals I just love images.
Ah!  Glitter
I do love my glitter. A small corner
cabinet is packed full of the good stuff.

Another tiny child's cupboard is filled
with brushes, charcoal, water color powder,
and ink direct from China

Antique cutlery trays holds even more treasures.
Thanks for stopping by I have enjoyed our visit.   Enjoy a great weekend, Kathy

Home Grown Beauties

Saturday morning before work I made it
downtown for our
Farmers Market.

A tent full of fresh flowers is certainly a vision,
and a wonderful way to start the day.

All of their happy faces are shouting "Take Me Home".

I hope this flower gardener's house stays full of her
rewards.  She grows a wonderful
assortment.

For $7.00 a bunch you can fill an ironstone pitcher
full a beautiful blooms to last the week.

I can see a beautiful basket filled with flowers on my front door or
little vases all in a row on my dining table.
Oh Well, After stocking up on Silver Queen Corn,
fresh tomatoes and peaches I was off to work.
Prayers are with you all who are suffering extreme weather conditions.

Wishing you a blessed Sunday, Kathy
